Modern Design Toilets - Time To Shop

Well, the flooring for both the bathrooms are finally done. So next week my wife and I are supposed to get our new modern design toilets, bathtubs, sinks and vanities fitted. Unfortunately, we hit a little snag. We got a couple of the measurements mixed up so we have to change a few things otherwise they won't fit.

Fortunately, we didn't pay for anything yet. We shortlisted a few items and were supposed to make our final decision last week but we lost track of time and totally forgot about it.

Anyway, looks like its time to pay a visit to The Interior Gallery again. The problem is that they they too many nice looking things there. So it is important to get a very clear idea of what you want otherwise you'll spend hours bogged down with indecisions. Once your plans are set in stone, stick to it.

I would suggest doing what we did and browse magazines for ideas then visit conventional stores to get a better feel of things. Once that's done you can have a better idea what goes best with what. And remember, be very careful with measurements. Because of a silly mistake, it looks like we may have to do without a bidet in out master bedroom. But we haven't given up hope yet.
Here's an example of some of the bidets we were looking at.
If I am not mistaken, many of the modern design toilets we were considering actually came with an accompanying bidet as a set.

The thing I like about these new toilets is that they are eco-friendly with the inclusion of the dual flush system. I also think the soft close toilet seats are a nice touch.

While we were browsing The Interior Gallery, one design that really caught our eye was the Escala antique style bathroom toilet. It's a pity we were going for a modern look with our bathrooms. Otherwise we would have gotten at least one of this.

You see, the Escala is made from hand carved solid oak wood but it has all the trappings of a modern luxury toilet - dual flush, soft close toilet seat and S-trap design. You just have to see it to believe it.

Anyway, right now we're leaning towards the Umbri or the Tolina. Looks like a coin toss will have to decide it.

  4. The internet can be a perfect place to purchase a cheap hot tub instead of from a hot tub dealer's showroom, but be careful with internet hot tub retailers as they might not be genuine, they could be selling poor quality hot tubs or not be around in the future to support you with warranty problems or spare parts like filters.
